XXL Party

Dopplereffekt – Randomer – Sleeparchive

DOPPLERFFEEKT – (USA)

Formed in 1995, this Detroit-based duo is one of the most mysterious entities in electronic music. Recalling the universes of Kraftwek of which he is considered as the worthy heir, Dopplereffekt proposes a robotic electro funk with a strong ideological, technological and scientific connotation. The use of videos accompanying their lives makes their concerts an experience at the crossroads of experimentation and club music.

RANDOMER – (DE)

Producer and DJ from London, whose reputation is well known, Randomer has established itself through essential productions on emblematic labels of the genre: from Hemlock Recordings to L.I.E.S. and Dekmantel, this artist’s influence on the techno sphere is indisputable. Like all good English DJs, he has fun blurring the tracks and genres, digging into the English jungle and IDM heritage, for dazzlingly dancing sets.

SLEEPARCHIVE – (UK)

Sleeparchive first appeared in 2004. This project is the more mature manifestation of Skanfrom’s music. A techno whose inspiration comes from Mika Vainio, Plastikman and later Jeff Mills. Far from remaining frozen, it allows itself to vary, travel and innovate. Until 2008, only his eponymous label was used as a structure to release his music. Since then, close ties have been forged between him and the Tresor in Berlin. He has also released and appeared on various labels (Repitch Recordings, Finitude Music, Inner Surface Music, Mord…) and a series of impressive remixes, revisiting artists like Regis, Adam X (which he covers as Traversable Wormhole), Orphx, Miss Kitten, Rhythm & Sound, Cio D’or…
