DANSE NOIRE • HOUNDSTOOTH [CH]
Aisha Devi has been giving free rein for a while to her most abstract, techno explorations, full of spirituality and primal energy. Nothing seems to scare her, neither the fragmentary dissolution of tribal music in her creations, nor the intentional ethnic references in her musical orientation, which reveal her Nepali-Tibetan heritage. On stage, Aisha offers a genuine invitation to travel, in which her hazy pop mantras reveal a complex musical universe meant for the dance floor.
STROBOSCOPIC ARTEFACT • EAUX [EN]
Although her name was inspired by Rrose Sévaly, a fictional character created by Marcel Duchamp in 1920, Rrose remains a mysterious and uncommon character. No one really knows who hides behind that stage name, the few interviews scattered online offering few details about her. Behind the turntables, Rrose bathes the dance floor with genuine techno music tinged with dark, distressing sounds, reminding of his label’s partners Kangding Ray or Perc’s performances. A truly unique figure within the Anglo-Saxon electronic music scene.
STROBOSCOPIC ARTEFACT [IT]
